Discover the tree-lined Las Ramblas boulevard, filled with shops, cafés, restaurants and colourful flower stalls. The street’s electric atmosphere mixes medieval history, a modern attitude and a sea-front location. Additionally, tapas and wine are just some of the things that this city is famous for. Venture out of the city to sample some of the best Cava around! Or during this exciting trip, why not treat the team to an inspirational tour of the Camp Nou, the world famous football stadium? All of this combines to make Barcelona a fantastic and ever popular destination.

Suggested Activities & Attractions

Discover Gaudí’s Barcelona

Of all Gaudí’s buildings, the most well known is the incredible Sagrada Familia Cathedral. Started in 1882 and still unfinished, it is a truly spectacular piece of architecture. Other famous Gaudí buildings in the city include Casas Milà and Batlló. Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera (The Quarry), looks on first sight as if it was carved out of pure rock. Casa Batlló gives the impression of a fairytale house with its facade of colourful trencadis and balconies that look like masks. A visit to the exceptional Park Güell, home of his famous tiled lizards covering the decorative benches is also highly recommended!

Tapas Tasting Tour

Think Spain, think tapas! Work your way round the sights of the city whilst discovering the Catalonia culinary tradition of small plates of food, washed down with a glass of local cava or sangria. Wander the streets of the Gothic Quarter learning of the area’s history whilst sampling patatas bravas, pimientos de padrón or boquerones amongst others. This is a special memory that your team will be able to take back home with them and if they’re feeling brave, try and reproduce these delicious meals!

Anyone for a glass of Cava ?

Spain is renowned for its wines and a number of vineyards lie to the west of Barcelona. These are the vineyards that produce Catalonia’s famous sparkling wine, Cava. Boasting names like Freixenet or Cordonniu, tours can be taken out to the cava houses, where you will learn of the production, promotion and get chance to enjoy a glass or two.

What’s more, why not enjoy a city tour visiting traditional bodegas? These wine houses can be found all over the city and are frequented by locals and visitors alike. They are easily recognised by their big wooden wine barrels, which are always a prominent feature. Enjoy a glass of Vermouth or perhaps sample some more of the region’s wines?

Barcelona sightseeing

Barcelona lends itself to a host of sightseeing options – the food tours above are only one suggestion! Architecture, history, art or general sightseeing can be arranged to suit all times, budgets and tastes alike. There really is something to suit everyone in this city. Visit one of the many museums the city has to offer or take a tour of the city centre to really get your bearings. Or if you would prefer to take things at a more relaxing pace, take advantage of the city’s hop on hop off bus and take in all Barcelona’s sights from there.

Football and Famous Faces

Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, Maradonna, Cruyff or Guardiola… the list is endless. Take a visit to Camp Nou, home to FC Barcelona. Although the stadium capacity has been reduced over time, it still holds nearly 100,000 fans and the atmosphere on match day is electric. Take a tour through the museum and see the 23 Liga and 5 Champions League trophies that Barcelona have won in their rich history to date, which will be sure to inspire your team. As well as these impressive trophies, take a look at the ground with the seats emblazoned with the famous slogan ‘Més que un club’ (More than a club!).
