Marrakech offers several corporate team building activities to choose from and this suggested itinerary could help your team/department become even stronger or would be a fantastic way to reward or revitalise after a busy period. Just the name Marrakech conjures up images of an alluring and vibrant destination. The city offers an array of exotic sights, colours, scents, sounds and adventures with the uniquely spectacular backdrop of the High Atlas Mountains. Marrakech is an ideal destination for corporate and incentive groups.

This 5 day suggested itinerary gives you and your team the chance to explore the exotic city of Marrakech, adventure into the Atlas Mountains and create lasting memories to strengthen your team or reward them for a job well done.  There will also be time to relax and unwind plus time to party in beautiful Riad style restaurants and enjoy the Moroccan culture.

Suggested itinerary by air

Day 1

Arrive in Marrakech

Fly to Marrakech airport where you will benefit from Fast Track Immigration service before boarding your coach. Lunch will be eaten at The Atlas Golf Resort, where Chef Manu offers a menu which combines inventive French cuisine and specialties from around the world. Transfer to your hotel for an arrival drink with canapes. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to explore the hotels facilities. Dinner will be eaten in the hotel.

Day 2

Highlights of Marrakech

After a buffet breakfast in the hotel it is time to explore the fascinating city of Marrakech. Visit the dramatic Almohad Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, El Bahia Palace and Ben Youssef Medersa which functioned as a boarding school for students of the religious sciences and law. Wander the labyrinth of souks and watch how the wonderful Djemaa El Fna comes alive with storytellers, acrobats and musicians, snake-charmers and fortunetellers. This remarkable square in the heart of the city becomes a huge open-air restaurant in the evening as drummers, dancers and comedians provide entertainment for diners.

Lunch will be eaten in Dar Moha. Moha set up his restaurant in a splendid turn-of-the-century riad once owned by famous couturier Pierre Balmain. Marvel at the pool’s wonderful mosaic tiles in the garden, amongst the trees and flowers. The interior patio is surrounded by several small rooms. This is the place for Moroccan inventive cuisine, light and subtle with remarkable creativity.

Return to the hotel for to freshen up before transferring to the Lotus Club for dinner. Situated in the once celebrated Villa Eva in the heart of the city’s affluent Hivernage district, the ‘club’ offers guests a glamorous, seductive environment.  The Lotus Club is an urban retreat by day and Marrakech’s most cosmopolitan atmosphere by night. Combining a laid back lounge & cocktail bar with a sophisticated restaurant, where chef’s menu delivers sumptuous cuisine from both Mediterranean and Moroccan cultures.

Day 3

 Team Challenge

After a leisurely breakfast in the hotel you can choose from a variety of activities such as Camel rides in Palmeraie, Quad Biking, Cultural activities such as patiesserie or pottery or you could even use the time for a strategy meeting or sales update in the hotel.

A delicious BBQ lunch will be eaten in the Palmeraie.

In the afternoon the group will be divided into teams for the Team Building Olympiad activity.  There will be non-stop laughter as teams battle it out at Donkey Polo! It’s not a question of how low can you go but how high as the teams take on the Tower of Babel. The Water Carrier’s race equips you with a leaky basket, Babouches (Moroccan slippers) and a race to collect as much water as possible in the allotted time.

There will be time to recover at the hotel before travelling to Jad Mahal for dinner and entertainment. A vibrant festive venue that includes a restaurant, bar and stage for shows.  The decor wavers between the Orient and Morocco and dishes are international cuisine. It is the place in Marrakech to go for dinner or just chill with a drink, listen to live music and admire the talent of the superb Belly dancers.

Day 4

High Atlas Adventure

A truly memorable day exploring the rural hills and valleys fringing Marrakech – culminating at the foot of the mighty Mount Toubkal. Change from four wheels to four legs riding mules to the lunch venue with stunning views over the Aït Meziane Valley. Welcome to Kasbahdu Toubkal. This magical place is perfect for rest and relaxation. Enjoy the fresh mountain air as you have your lunch on their stunning terraces.

In the afternoon venture through local villages before returning to Marrakech.

Your final evening will be in Dar Ycaout, a landmark in Marrakech. It was amongst the first created Riad restaurants to be created more than twenty years ago in the medina by Mohamed Zkhiri, who presides over the destiny of this sumptuous venue. The decor is enchanting with its private rooms and breathtaking panoramic view from the terrace overlooking the medina and the Koutoubia mosque of Marrakech. Highly traditional Moroccan gastronomic cuisine with a menu incorporating an amazing succession of flavors, and service that lives up to everyone standards.

Day 5

Au Revoir

Depending upon the flight time back to the UK there may be time to squeeze in a visit to the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. The gardens were created  by the landscape painter Jacques Majorelle in 1924 and are now a psychedelic desert mirage of 300 plant species from five continents. In 1980, the French designer Yves Saint Lauren and his partner Pierre Bergé bought the electric-blue villa and its garden to preserve the vision Jaques Majorelle and keep it open to the public. They gifted the gardens to Marrakech, the city that adopted Saint Laurent in 1964.

Transfer to the airport for the flight home.
