The city was founded by the Romans in 138BC and was initially conceived as a place of peace and recuperation and therefore has many gardens and parks. From avant-garde architecture to a wildlife-filled national park and with an array of local attractions, restaurants and boutiques, it truly offers something for everyone.
Located close to the beach and with a thriving city centre, there is a wide selection of hotels suitable for all tastes and budgets and a myriad of places and attractions to discover! Explore fascinating architecture, historical sites or sit on the beach after sightseeing.
